Days Out For The Family

Privacy policy

Design preview — final text reviewed before launch. GDPR (UK).

What we collect

Your account email and name; favourites, polls and been-theres; your location only when you tap "near me" (never tracked in the background); newsletter preferences.

What we never do

We never sell your data. Operators see aggregate counts only ("127 families saved you") — never who you are. Votes and reviews require sign-in to prevent fraud, but are shown without your email.

Your rights

Export or delete your account any time from settings. Unsubscribe takes effect immediately. Accounts are for adults — no child accounts.

Terms of service

For parents

Free, always. Be honest in reviews (one per visit), be kind, no spam. We may remove content that breaks this.

For operators

Claim only attractions you genuinely manage — wrongful claims are removed and blocked. Keep your listing accurate. Promotion is always labelled; rankings and reviews are never for sale.

Listings

We list publicly available information about attractions and check it against official websites; operators can claim and correct at any time.

Essential

Sign-in session, your cookie choices. Always on.

Preferences

Remembering your area and filters so the next visit starts where you left off.

Analytics

Privacy-friendly, aggregate usage stats — only with your consent from the banner. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.

Accessibility statement

This website

We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA: full keyboard navigation, screen-reader labels, visible focus, reduced-motion support, and colour is never the only signal.

Beyond the website

Accessibility info about attractions (step-free, Changing Places, quiet hours, sensory sessions) is a first-class part of every listing — and growing. Spotted something we got wrong? Tell us.
